Registering your website

Once you purchase SliceWP, our system automatically creates an account page for you, alongside a unique license key. This license key unlocks updates for SliceWP on the website that it’s being used on.

We release new updates for SliceWP on a regular basis and we highly recommend you to keep SliceWP up to date. These updates provide new features, crush bugs and fix security issues.

So, to make sure you don’t miss new updates, you will have to register your website with your license key. Here’s how you can do this:

  1. Firstly, navigate to your SliceWP account -> License (tab) and copy the license key.
  2. Then, navigate to your website’s admin area > SliceWP > Settings > General (tab) > Register Website (section).
  3. Paste the copied key into the License Key field and click the Register button.

If the website could not be registered and you’re seeing errors, please click here for assistance.

In certain situations, for example if you’ve moved your website to another domain, you would want to deregister your current site and register your new website to continue having access to plugin updates.

You can do this in two ways:

  1. From your currently registered website, if you still have access to it.
  2. Or from your SliceWP account page.

If you still have access to the website you have SliceWP registered, please follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to your website’s admin area > SliceWP > Settings > General (tab) > Register Website (section).
  2. Here, click the Deregister button.

If you no longer have access to your website, you can still deregister it from your license key from your SliceWP account. Here’s how you can do this:

  1. Navigate to your SliceWP account > Registered Websites. Here, you will find a list of all the websites you currently have registered for your license key.
  2. Click on the Remove button next to the domain name that you want to deregister.

That’s it. Your website should be deregistered and the license key will have an empty slot that you can fill in by registering another website.
