Adding an affiliate account page

The affiliate account page is the central hub where affiliates can log in to track their performance.

Here, they can view key statistics, such as their total earnings and the commissions they have earned. They also have quick access to their unique referral link to generate commissions, as well as their payout history and affiliate profile settings.

SliceWP comes with a clean, intuitive, beautifully designed affiliate account interface, allowing your affiliates to navigate effortlessly, stay organized and focus on growing their earnings with ease.

While going through SliceWP’s setup wizard, you can generate the affiliate account and affiliate registration pages with a simple toggle.

If you opt for this, SliceWP will automatically create a new page for you, named “Affiliate Account”, and add the [slicewp_affiliate_account] shortcode within it. This shortcode will render the affiliate account interface on the page.

If you decide to skip this step and manually set up your affiliate account page, here’s how you can do it:

  1. Create a new page from your WordPress admin area > Pages > Add New.
  2. Insert the [slicewp_affiliate_account] shortcode to the page. If you’re using the new WordPress editor, Gutenberg, add the shortcode by inserting a new shortcode block, as shown here:
  3. Select this newly created page for the Affiliate Account Page option in SliceWP > Settings > Affiliate Area (tab) > Pages (section).

Now that you’ve added your affiliate account page, let’s explore it to see what your affiliates will experience.

The account is organized into tabs, each providing specific information or functionality.

The main tab, Dashboard, provides a summary of referral visits, commissions, and earnings for the selected time period, displayed alongside a clear, visually engaging graph. Your affiliates can filter this data by time period to better analyze their performance over time.

This tab also includes an all-time performance overview, along with key details about the affiliate program, such as tracking cookie duration and commission rates.

The Affiliate Links tab makes it easy for your affiliates to copy their default referral link with a single click. They can also generate custom referral links for any page or product on your website, giving them more flexibility in promoting your brand.

In the Commissions tab, your affiliates can view a detailed list of the commissions they’ve earned.

Just like the commissions tab, the Visits tab provides affiliates a detailed view of the referral visits they’ve generated, showcasing the link the referred visitor came from and the link the visitor landed on.

In the Creatives tab, affiliates can access a collection of ready-to-use marketing materials uploaded by you. These creatives, such as banners and promotional graphics, make it easier for affiliates to promote your brand effectively. Affiliates can simply copy the provided embed codes or download the assets to use them on their websites, blogs, or social media channels, streamlining their marketing efforts.

In the Payouts tab, affiliates can track the payments you’ve made to them. Each payout entry includes the total amount paid and a breakdown of the commissions included, giving affiliates full transparency over their payments.

Lastly, in the Settings tab, your affiliates can update their profile information.

By default, the affiliate account’s navigation menu is positioned at the top. However, you can position it to the left or right as a sidebar.

To do this, set the menu_position attribute in the affiliate account shortcode to either left or right.

Example:

  • Left-aligned menu: [slicewp_affiliate_account menu_position="left"]
  • Right-aligned menu: [slicewp_affiliate_account menu_position="right"]

The Affiliate Account Logout option allows affiliates to log out of their accounts directly from the affiliate dashboard. When enabled, a logout link is added at the end of the affiliate account navigation menu. Clicking this link will immediately log the affiliate out of their account.

By default, this feature is disabled.

To enable it, navigate to your WordPress admin area > SliceWP > Settings > Affiliate Area (tab) > Account Settings (section) and turn on the Affiliate Account Logout option.
